To know providing gold medal to ten pointer during independence

Sir,
I am a passed out from B.Tech petroleum engineering and technology during the year 2019 and i have completed with 10.0 Gpa during my final year (semester 7 and 8). I heard that ACOE making the students who secured 10 point gpa in a academic year proud by providing golden medal during independence day every year.

I would like to know whether the information is true or not. Kindly reply ASAP.
