Ways To Report block and track lost or stolen mobile phones
File the Initial Police Report
- Visit the nearest police station to file a physical complaint or FIR.
- You can also file an e-FIR via the official State Police website or mobile app.
- The portal requires you to upload a digital copy of the complaint and provide specific details from it to verify that the theft or loss has been officially reported.

How to know my 15-digit IMEI Number?
- You can Know your 15-digit IMEI by dialing at *#06# on your mobile phone.
- In case your mobile phone is stolen/lost you can always find the 15-digit code on your original purchase bill/invoice or the sticker on the retail box.
- You can also know your IMEI number by contacting your Carrier Services Provider on their Customer Support given below:

How to Use the KYM SMS Service for verifying or to know about current status of your device?
- Open the SMS app on any mobile phone.
- Type: KYM <15-digit IMEI number>.
- Send the message to 14422
- You will receive a reply containing the phone's manufacturer, model name, and current status (Valid, Blocked, or Invalid)
To expand image - In case your phone is blocked the message will explicitly state "Device is blocked" or "Blacklisted".

- IMEI Verification : Enter your mobile number get OTP for verification
- Block/Unblock Your Lost/Stolen Mobile (CEIR) : Facilitates the blocking of lost or stolen mobile devices across all Indian telecom networks using their IMEI number
- Know Mobile Connections in Your Name : Allows you to see all mobile connections registered under your identity.
- Chakshu (Report Suspected Fraud Communication) : A platform to report suspicious calls, SMS, or WhatsApp messages related to cyber-crime, financial fraud, or impersonation (e.g., fake KYC updates or lottery offers).
- Know Genuineness of Your Mobile Handset (KYM) : Enables you to verify if a mobile device is genuine before purchase by checking its IMEI number.
- Report Incoming International Call with Indian Number (RICWIN) : Facilitates reporting of international calls that appear on your screen
- Report a Cyber Fraud : You can fill the form and submit your details to report any kind of cyber fraud.
- Check lost/stolen Mobile Request Status : You can enter your Request ID / Complaint No. to know about your complaint status.
- To access these services go to Sanchar Saathi Portal and navigate to the "Citizen Centric Services" section.

First download Sanchar Saathi App on your mobile phone.
- Open the Sanchar Saathi App on your mobile phone, Enter your name that is registerd with your number to proceed.

Important
- After you register your complaint and submit your information, You will receive a notification (via SMS/Email) that your request has been processed. You can then use your Request ID on the portal to see the status marked as "Blocked."
- If you find your phone, you must report it to the local police before using the "Unblock Found Mobile" option on the portal to restore its functionality.
