Hotel booking confirmed.. But booking not found at Hotel

Pearl Valley Residency, Anekal, India. My booking for 21/8/23 confirmed by Hotels.com after payment of Rs ₹1,568.47. When reported for check-in, the hotel informed that there is no booking in my name. Details of booking
Itinerary # 72635xxxxx3252. Confirmation # SFBOOKING_70950145'
Please explain why no booking was done despite the payment
