Subject: Urgent Request for Intervention Regarding Train Delay After Route Extension

Respected Sir/Madam,
I am writing to bring to your immediate attention the severe hardship being faced by thousands of daily passengers due to the recent extension of the passenger train running between Amb Andaura and Ambala Cantt to Raipur, Haryana.
Earlier, this train would depart from Ambala Cantt at 7:35 AM, ensuring timely travel for countless commuters, including office-goers, students, and workers traveling to Chandigarh, Mohali, and Panchkula. However, since the last three days, the train has not been arriving on time at Ambala Cantt due to its extended route, causing immense distress to daily travelers.
The impact of this delay is widespread—many hardworking individuals, especially from the middle class, who rely on this train for their livelihood are now struggling to reach their workplaces on time. The delay in arrival has disrupted schedules, resulted in financial losses, and increased stress for thousands who commute to Chandigarh, Mohali, and Panchkula every morning.
Prior to this extension, we had submitted a formal request to the Station Master at Ambala Cantt to retain the original route and timing. Unfortunately, despite our appeal, the change was implemented, resulting in serious disruptions.
We respectfully urge your immediate intervention in this matter and request the restoration of the train’s punctuality at Ambala Cantt or an alternative arrangement to accommodate affected passengers. Your swift action will bring immense relief to the people who rely on this service daily for their livelihood.

We, the residents of Derabassi, Zirakpur, and nearby towns, express our sincere gratitude for your decision to arrange for the 5trains originating from Chandigarh Station (CGR) and traveling towards New Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, Trivandrum, and vice versa to halt for one minute at Gagghar Station:

This decision has been warmly welcomed not only by the local residents but also by those from Panchkula (Haryana), Lalru, and even as far as Naraingarh. Derabassi and Zirakpur are rapidly growing cities with several multi-story societies and well-developed residential areas catering to all income groups. Derabassi also has an industrial hub at the Focal Point with many units operational.
As Chandigarh Railway Station is quite far and often takes over an hour to reach, especially with limited transportation options during early and late hours, the halt at Gagghar Station has greatly eased travel for many of us.
WE would like to request the addition of a few more facilities, such as cold drinking water and a reservation counter, to further enhance the convenience for travelers.
Additionally, we kindly request that you consider extending this halt facility to other trains heading towards and coming from Lucknow, Jaipur, Kerela, and New Delhi.

Thanks, railway for running many trains on Ambala-Chandigarh route.

But, from Chandigarh no train available after 6.35 p.m. for Dhulkot station.

Many daily pessengers, workers working in private sectors, small businessmen, daily wagers in Chandigarh and Panchkula get leave after 7.00 p.m. and they can not catch the existing last train at 6.35 p.m.for Dhulkot station.

Dhulkot station is an important station which covers Ambala City and other small nearby villages.

It is, therefore requested to please arrange a train with stoppage at Dhulkot station from Chandigarh station around 7.30 p.m. or arrange to change the time of existing train n. 04594 from 6.35 to 7.30 p.m. and oblige.

First of all, we wish to thanks to Railway Department for starting train from Jind to Sonipat which is long awaited for the many passenger for the route. It is great support for thousands of passengers who travel between the stations falls this orute to Delhi. It has been a long time that the passengers have been waiting to get the train started on this route to make their travel feasible to Delhi NCR. It is definite that it will not only be a great help for a lot of youth for employment and education but also for people who travel to Delhi/Sonipat on daily/frequent basis for other purposes.

We wish to bring some suggestions/recommendations in your kind notice to make it an easy, affordable and safe mode of travel for thousands of passengers.

It has been observed and noticed that thousands of passengers travel from various stations of 74030(Jind-Sonipat-Jind) to Delhi for various purposes such as job, business, education, treatment etc.

However, there is no connecting train for the passengers who travel daily from Jind, Gohana or on route stations to Delhi. Therefore we request you kindly connect 74030(Jind-Sonipat) with 64472(Panipat-Ghaziabad) in the morning at 06:56 am at Sonipat Junction.

It is humble requested to arrange to Change the timings of 74030(Jind-Sonipat), so that it reaches Sonipat before 64472(Panipat-Ghaziabad).

Also, in the evening while returning from Delhi to Jind/Gohana there should be connectivity between 74019(Sonipat-Jind) with 64461(Hazrat Nizamuddin-Kurukshetra)because it is time when many passengers travel from Delhi to Jind-Gohana route faced many problem depend upon private public transport which are not convenient, feasible and safe.

It is also requested toarange to change the timings of 74019 (Sonipat-Jind), so that it start from Sonipat after reaching 64461(Hazrat Nizamuddin-Kurukshetra) to Sonipat at 19:56.

Point to be Noted:-

1. Students from small villages and cities like Gohana and Jind will also be able

to get desired education because there are many such courses in Delhi NCR

which are not available in small cities.

2. Thousands of youth will go, work in Delhi-NCR because the travel will be

much easier, safe and most importantly affordable.

3. Private transport is not only costly as compare to train but also risky.

4. Private transport is not available all the times and unsafe for females.

5. It will bring change in thousands of families in terms of employ ability,

health, education and business etc.

6. It will not be a surplus to say that it is matter of subsistence of thousands of

lives.

In view of all these points , we highly recommend these changes and hope for your quick and favorable action for thousands of families.

This request is not based on any individual’s views and observation, but it is recommended by a lot of people.
