Regarding Overcharging, Threat, and Forced Payment by driver
a distressing incident that occurred during my recent ride with Rapido today at 27/04/2026 12:30 AM from T2 Airport Delhi to Greater Noida
Before starting the ride, I had clearly confirmed with a Rapido representative that the fare shown in the app would be final and that no additional charges would be applicable. However, during the ride, the driver informed me that I would have to pay parking charges of ₹440. When I questioned this, he reduced the amount and said it would be at least ₹200 and insisted that such charges are applicable.
I clearly stated that no such charges were visible or mentioned in the app. Upon reaching the destination, instead of resolving the matter professionally, the driver showed me a picture of an airport tariff board as “proof” and continued to demand extra payment.
When I refused to pay any additional amount, the situation escalated. The driver threatened to call the police and, more seriously, refused to return my luggage bag until I paid the demanded amount. Given the late hour and the unsafe situation, I was left with no option but to pay the extra ₹270 under pressure.
This behavior is completely unacceptable and deeply concerning from a safety perspective. Holding a passenger’s belongings and threatening them amounts to harassment and misconduct.

Dear Rapido Customer Support Team,
My name is Vijay Adhik Waghmare. I am writing to report a serious issue that occurred during a recent Rapido auto ride booked from Hiranandani Hospital to Vile Parle East.
We booked a Rapido auto with a fare of ₹154 shown on the app. After waiting for some time, the driver arrived and we boarded the vehicle. The driver took our OTP and, after checking the destination, he started saying that the fare was not acceptable to him.
He asked us to get down from the auto and cancel the trip. We explained that we had just come out of the hospital and were standing in very hot weather, and requested him to complete the ride to our destination.
However, the driver refused and behaved rudely. He insisted that he would cancel the trip himself and threatened to leave us stranded. He then contacted Rapido customer care and shouted on the call, falsely claiming that the fare was too low and refusing to complete the ride. He demanded that the trip be cancelled from our side and that we be removed from the ride.
Eventually, the driver forced the cancellation of our trip through customer care. Throughout this incident, the driver behaved in an extremely unprofessional and disrespectful manner, causing us significant inconvenience and distress.
We request you to take strict action against this driver to ensure that such behavior is not repeated with other customers in the future.

Rider Misconduct and Refund Request
I had booked a Rapido parcel delivery where the rider picked up the parcel and I completed the payment. After 15–20 minutes, he called me and asked for the delivery OTP, insisting that he would only proceed to the destination if I shared it.
This is completely inappropriate, as the OTP is meant to be shared only after successful delivery. Despite this, he refused to continue without it. After wasting around 1.5 hours of my time, he returned to the pickup location and did not deliver the parcel. Moreover, I have not received any refund for the amount I paid.
This experience has been extremely disappointing and unacceptable. I request immediate action on this issue and a full refund for the failed service.
FRAUD
Rapido captain looted me .My trip was RS:497/- but collected Rs:700/- from me.when I complaint rapido refund 200/- on my wallet. This is how rapido blackmail the customer.Its very sad to say our INDIAN company cheated own INDIAN.How could theysurvive in INDIA with such mind set

Booked a Rapido bike in morning. Rapido driver called me n asked my location, I told my location, he said that he will not come to my location and cut the call. Soon the timer started, then I canceled my ride . But before cancellation-8 rupee shown on my screen, which will be charged on my second ride. In evening I again booked a Rapido bike. After reaching my location I have paid extra 8 rupee. So this is not fair.
Complaint Regarding Overcharging and Driver Misbehavior
would like to raise a complaint regarding a recent ride I booked during rainy weather. At the time of booking, the fare shown to me was ₹92. I applied a coupon of ₹30, after which the final payable amount displayed to me was ₹72.
However, after the ride was completed, the driver insisted on being paid the original amount of ₹92, stating that this was the fare shown to him. Despite explaining that I had applied a coupon and my final amount was ₹72, the driver became aggressive and started shouting, creating a very uncomfortable and stressful situation.
Due to his misbehavior and the pressure he created, I was forced to pay the full ₹92, even though it was not the amount shown to me in the app.
This experience was highly disappointing and unacceptable. I request you to:
Investigate this issue.
Refund the extra amount of ₹20 that I was forced to pay.
Take appropriate action against the driver to prevent such incidents in the future.
I hope you will look into this matter seriously and ensure better service and accountability.

I have used Rapido regularly for parcel pickup and commuting in thier auto service.
Lately the captains have started playing a game which has happened to me thrice in the
last one week.
The pickup spot is 2 kms. and the map shows that they are at the spot ..but thrice

I booked taxi from Mumbai International Airport arrival to my home and fare was showing 768. Drop location was correct for my home but Rapido driver took me to another location which was fault of Rapido map or driver. I was charged extra 50 for dropping to my correct location which was redirected by Rapido map automatically without me changing any drop location. Also I was charged for 280 as taxi parking charges which wasn't showing me any extra costs while booking Taxi. Total 330

I have been overcharged at least 5 times. The moment the driver stops ride the fare shown becomes much higher than the estimated one but in the previous ride the amount actually paid is not shown. It shows the earlier estimated price which is lesser so there is no record with the customer on the app to show that one was charged extra. Once there was a difference between the amount showed to the cab driver and me and I had to pay extra as the driver became adamant on taking what was showed on his app. My such incidents with rapido has become very frequent. If this continues I will uninstall rapido.

Complaint Against Rider’s Misbehavior

I am writing this email in extreme anger and disappointment to formally complain about a horrible and unacceptable ride experience involving my mother.
The rider assigned to her ride behaved in a highly rude, arrogant, and disrespectful manner. The way he spoke was completely shameless and unacceptable, especially while talking to a woman of my mother’s age. He clearly has no sense of how to talk properly to passengers, let alone senior women. Such behavior is absolutely disgraceful.
On top of his rude behavior, he was driving at a dangerously high speed, putting my mother’s life at risk. Passenger safety was clearly not his concern at all. This level of negligence could have resulted in a serious accident.
What is even more shocking is that the rider forced my mother to pay in cash only, which is completely against Rapido’s policies. This is nothing short of harassment. Passengers should not be pressured or bullied into payment methods of the rider’s choice.
Because of Rapido’s careless screening and lack of control over such riders, innocent passengers like my mother have to suffer mentally and physically.

I am extremely upset that my mother had to go through this experience. This is not acceptable at any level.
I demand strict and immediate action against this rider. Please do not allow such misbehaved, unsafe, and unprofessional people to continue working with Rapido. Yese logo ko job pe mat rakha karo jo na tameez se baat karte hain aur na hi passengers ki safety ka dhyaan rakhte hain.
If strict action is not taken, I will be forced to escalate this matter further. I expect a prompt response and confirmation of the action taken.

Fraud Incident by Rapido Captain – Request for Immediate Action
Dear Team, I would like to report a fraudulent incident that occurred during my Rapido ride today. I booked a bike from Dayanand Colony, Gurgaon (HR) to Guru Dronacharya Metro Station at around 9:00 AM. During the ride, the captain asked me about the payment method, and I informed him that I would be paying online. He then told me that he had an emergency and needed to send ₹300 to one of his friends, but his UPI was not working. He said the ride fare was ₹90 and requested me to pay ₹210 on a QR code (Bank name: Priyanshu). He also assured me that he would return the excess amount once we reached the destination or once his UPI started working within 30 minutes to 1 hour. Trusting him as a verified Rapido captain, I made the payment of ₹210 through the provided QR code. After the ride, he gave me a phone number (9889830XXX), but the number is currently not reachable. I am not expecting any refund from him, but I strongly request that strict action be taken against this captain for this fraudulent behavior. Such incidents severely impact customer trust and can harm Rapido’s reputation in the market. Kindly investigate this matter at the earliest and take the necessary action

Wrongly suspended account

My rapido captain account (Maru Behera, registered mobile number 9090xxx897) has been suspended till next 2 years due to offline rides which is not correct. If you check, can see that all the time I purchased subscription plan. So why I will do offline ride.
I used this ride as a part time income, my office location is 45kms from my home. So I on the Rapido app and travel, it doesn't mean that I am doing offline rides.

I am writing to report a deeply concerning experience I had with one of your drivers in Ahmedabad. I had booked a ride, and after the driver accepted and confirmed the trip, he contacted me to ask about the destination and the fare. This was confusing and frustrating, as the fare and destination were already displayed in the app.
The driver then insisted that I cancel the ride. I did not want to cancel the trip as I needed to get to my destination and had already committed to the fare shown in the app. It's completely unfair for a driver to accept a ride and then ask the customer to cancel it, especially after confirming the pick-up.
Because of this, I was late and ultimately had to find an alternative way to reach my destination, using public transport. This completely defeated the purpose of booking a Rapido ride and left me feeling incredibly let down. The fact that your driver was also attempting to get me to pay an extra amount on top of the fare shown in the app is unacceptable.
I trusted Rapido to provide reliable and transparent service, but this experience was the opposite of that. I kindly request you to look into this matter immediately and take appropriate action against the driver. I have the details of the cancelled trip in my app. Please find a solution to this issue to prevent it from happening to other customers.

Urgent Complaint Against Rapido Captain
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am filing a serious complaint regarding a distressing and unlawful incident that occurred during my Rapido ride on 28th August 2025.
Captain’s Name: Anik Chokraborty
Vehicle Number: WB07B9386
Drop Location: My office (as per ride booking)
After reaching the drop location, the Captain threatened me, claiming he was a local candidate of the area. He showed me arms and forced me to pay Rs. 5000/- under threat. Not only this, but he also stole my wallet and fled the spot on his bike.
This is a matter of criminal intimidation, extortion, and theft, and poses a grave risk to passenger safety using Rapido’s platform.
I request the Rapido authority to:
Immediately investigate this incident with urgency.
Suspend and blacklist the concerned Captain permanently.
Return my stolen wallet and Rs. 5000/- at the earliest.
If I do not receive a fair resolution, I will have no option but to file an FIR/GD at the local police station and escalate this issue to consumer protection and higher authorities.
I expect a swift response and strict action from your side to ensure justice and passenger safety.

Charged for the toll when the toll route was not taken
I took a cab from noida to faridabad on 22 August,2025. The total price charged was 642 including 200 for the toll tax. But the driver took the other way that did not include the toll tax but he still charged me 642 only. I request the authority to look into this and the extra amount taken from me should be returned as this is a scar on a reputed company to charge extra from their customers.

I’ve noticed that every time I try to book a ride through the Rapido app, it shows a due amount, despite the fact that I’ve made payment for every ride without fail. There is absolutely no reason for any amount to be pending on my account.

This is a serious issue of scam please resolve it and provide me my refund
I haven't received my refund
Unprofessional behaviour by rapido application, I booked 2 metro tickets worth Rs. 75 because there was a long queue at the platform and I was in hurry, the amount had debited from my account and I hadn't received the ticket also it's been 2 days I haven't received the refund yet. I also emailed them but there is no revert.

driver charged extra amount
First the driver asked for extra money to switch on the ac which has never happened before.
Secondly the fare shown on drivers app was 100 rs more than what was shown on my app..
Their chatbot is really slow they connected me to an agent after whole 30 minutes. Am I expected to keep my phones app open for 30 minutes? There is no way to call them.
Driver did not return money as he over collected

Since Driver promised to return the 60 rs through Paytm, i paid him 500 rs as fare amount was 437 rs. But driver did not return the amount even we called him multiple times and finally he did not pick my calls as well. The driver name is Parashuram HY....(99002XXXXX). Please help on this regard. If we miss to pay amount .. you people run behind us collect it on other trip or some other way. So, why we are not getting the same help here.

Very worst experience in Rapido taxi abd no help from the ap
I had a very bad experience in Rapido taxi. I took a taxi for ride and it show 636 from start to destiney. But the driver requisted to fill the gas and took extra km and the destination reached by travelling different route. For my bad luck the destination what I was selected was 5km away from the real droping point. Showing that the driver took 967 rupees the total...As we were ladies and it was already late night, couldn't do anything and pay the amount. I have decided never trust rapido

Unfair charge
The driver, Lokesh P, insisted on being paid in cash citing ongoing UPI issues in Karnataka. I agreed and handed him a ₹500 note for a fare of ₹316. Shockingly, he quietly switched the note to a ₹100 and accused me of giving the wrong amount. He began arguing and made emotional appeals, swearing on Anjaneya and his child, which made the situation even more uncomfortable.
Eventually, he returned only ₹150, falsely claiming I was trying to cheat him. This was absolutely unacceptable and dishonest behavior. I’m deeply disappointed with how this was handled and expect appropriate action to be taken against the driver.
Please look into this matter urgently and process a refund for the extra money I paid
rider rude behaviour
I have book a ride from office to home after reaching destination he started misbehaving me that i have told him long route hince he has got very less commission and he had to pay 12 rs platform fee.
He was yelling on me at my society premises.

I am writing to register a complaint about my recent ride experience. The rider was extremely rude and behaved in a very disrespectful manner. He had no sense of how to talk properly and was very arrogant.
He was also driving at very unsafe speed, without considering passenger safety. On top of that, he forced me to pay in cash only, which is completely wrong and against policy.
Because of your company’s carelessness in allowing such riders, passengers like us have to suffer and risk our safety. Tumhare careless approach ki wajah se hum log kyun suffer karein? This is not acceptable.
I request you to take strict action against this rider. Please do not allow such people to continue working with Rapido, as they damage the company’s reputation and put passengers’ safety at risk. Yese logo ko job pe mat rakha karo, jo na tameez se baat karte hain aur na hi safe ride dete hain.

Met with an accident while on the ride
My rapido captain , haven't applied brakes, when someone is coming on his bike from the front , and we met with an accident , at that time , The rapido captian driver doesn't seem professional , and was driving dangerously, my left leg bone is broken , .. i am gonna sue rapido, for not listening to me.
