Senior citizens find it very difficult to sit in Indian Toilets and hence 2A and 3A coach should have western toilets as well.
The above information is not provided in any of your website pages.
Features of all train coaches should be informative to the travelling passengers.
Even information regarding utilities at stations where the Train halts for 10 mins should be provided so that passengers can know about the same enroute.

For your reff catering policy 2005 attach with req.
Railways will provide pantry cars on long distance trains to be identified centrally at Railway
Board level from time-to-time. Broad criteria for providing pantry car on mail/express trains are
given in para 6.3 below.
6.3 Criteria for providing pantry car on long distance mail/express trains
a) Journey time more than 24 hours each way;
b) At least 10 sleeper class coaches (upper and lower class) are in the train formation;
c) At least 200 meals comprising of lunch or dinner for super-fast trains and 150 meals for
mail/express trains are expected to be served each time.
d) There are less number of stoppages and it is not possible to provide catering services through
static units enroute;
e) Air brake rake with vestibuled coaches will have preference
f) Other consideration such as tourist attraction, non-availability of satisfactory services enroute,
other operational requirements etc.

Original id proof is it compulsory?
Travelling with Eticket, and had another id proof, like my college id card original, and had the photocopy of the proof which was given on the ticket. still TTE was hassling and harrasing, and saying it is not acceptable.? He was very rude, and it happend to a girl, and he kept on shouting and said i will throw u out or pay double penalty. The ID proofs acceptable given on website as i have seen are any of them, and not exactly the one given in ticket. that is just for genuinty. and TTEs to get more money and fill their houses with money do all this drama.
I want to complaint about this incidence and make suer that TTE loses his job, because he made lewd remarks about the girl and was very impolite.

Waitlist ticket refund charges.
Hi,
I have booked two tickets online totalling to Rs. 311. They were waitlisted, when the tickets were booked. The date of journey passed by and the tickets were still on waitlisted. So, my assumption was, the amount of Rs. 311, would automatically be refunded to my online banking account. After 3 days, I see only Rs.261 is refunded. A total of Rs. 50 was charged for the same. I didnot find any rules against online booked waitlist ticket refund details.
Please help me with my understanding.

Out of total Rs. 311/-, 10/- was irctc non refundable service charge. Also cancellation charge for wait listed tickets in SL class is 20/- per person. So out of fare of 301/- (excluding irctc charges) 40/- (for 2 passengers) got deducted and 261/- for refunded.

This is very kindly informing to you I Md Tahseen Reza, a bonafide student of MBA (Previous), A.M.U., Murshidabad, bearing an Enrollment number : GC-3704, Faculty number : 11-MBAW-33. While I was travelling from my home town Samastipur to Aligarh, on 08/Feb/2012 from Swatantrata Senani Superfast Express (Train number : 12561, Coach Number : S-3, Birth Number : 33, PNR Number : 6106559168), at around 06 pm. On Muzaffarpur Station, around 6 unknown people approached towards me, at my birth, who were saying about themselves being from Crime Branch, had enquired to me for about 2 hours regularly.
They had taken my photograph from their mobile, and also taken photograph of all the ID cards, which was along with me, and they had E-mailed it to several places. They had seized my B.C.M. (2008-09 AMU, Aligarh), I-D Card, and when I asked for the reason, they replied, that, it’s a part of their work. All the work had been done with the full support and co-operation of T.T of that particular train. So, it is supposed to be, that T.T is knowing them (all 6 unknown people) and will recognize them, if needed.

I had filed FIR at proctor office AMU, Aligarh (having dispatch no. 1164, dated : 09/02/2012) and same had been forwarded and received by GRP, Aligarh railway station, which I am enclosing along with this application. i tried to book the e ticket through your site irctc.co.in today(23-01-2012) about 2:00-2:30. the site was so slow after i clicked the "pay" button. though net speed was pretty good.. the page got hanged. i checked history and no ticket was there. later i checked my mini statement in atm, and found that rs183 was deducted from my account.now what should i do? want to know in how many days, the amount will be refunded.

Travelling on a waitlist i-ticket?
Would I be allowed to travel in a chair-car train like Gomti express (from Lko-Gzb) with a waitlist i-ticket or a window ticket. In case yes, then can I travel in any of the classes (for which the booking is done) or is it restricted to non-chaircar classes like 2A or 1A only?

Money deducted but ticket not booked
Today, on 26 December, we booked the ticket in devgiri Express for three members in sleeper tier and it deducted Rs 826. Our money from SBI Account deducted but we could not get the ticket or any information regarding this so far. Net was slow at that time. The no. of seat available in that train is same so we assume that our ticket was not booked but money was deducted. How to get refund of our booked ticket. We don't know our transaction ID or PNR no.

In Metro train there is no gap between platform and train (while when train stopes in station)
so please close the gap between platfom and increse the platform height to the train in indian railways (waste steps fixed in the train which really dangerous and taken many lives.

Train late for more than 4 hours
I had filled a TDR on 9th Oct 2011. PNR Number:6300843423, Train No:12906 (from Ahmedabad to Jamnagar), Train No & Name : 12906 / HWR PBR OKHA EXP ,Date : 9th Oct 2011. Amount : 508 /= .
Reason for TDR:Train late more than 4 hours and passenger not travelled. TDR Status:Forwarded to railway. Reference No:ekt2011109003417242 .Kindly arrange to refund the amount of Rs. 508/= without delay. Infact I had done the booking through IRCTC and IRCTC says Indian Railway has to forward back the amount to IRCTC after verification and after receining the amount , IRCTC could deposit this amount to my savings account.
Requesting Indian Railway to do the needful as this is a genuine case and delay in train for more than 4 hours hampered my ongoing scheduled Journey and hence to purchase additional tickets on an alternate train and proceed with the ongoing journey. Please do the needful in this regard and arrnage to reimburse this amount.

Refund request for reservation ticket booker mistake

I booked ticket at khopoli reservation counter. I mentioned details of onward ticket on single reservation form. Railway reservation ticket booker book booked separate tickets (Lonavala to Chennai Rs: 393 and Chennai to thanjavur Rs: 180) immediate I was informed to ticket booker. He told ticket have booked impossible to change. I said him, sir this is your mistake I was clearly mentioned on reservation form. I was lost my money (approximate Rs: 150) and waste time keeping in queue .He has not replaced tickets. i have attached my ticket scanned copy. Please refund to eligible ticket amount of onward.
